Outfit of the week....

Outfit of the week
I love this outfit so much that I wore it twice this week! I'm a bit of a minger alright. Once out to dinner with the girlies and another to my market stall at the weekend. Again I love teaming vintage with highstreet, The shirt is from the 80's and I love the vibrant colours. Blazer is vintage, from Berlin and its actually a mens blazer.

I got my necklace  in Topshop. I love all animal shaped jewellery. Don't know why but I do! TOP TIP: These sort of statement necklaces are also great when wore over a fully buttoned up shirt. (see images below)

Bright coloured blazers can bring life to a simple pair of jeans and casual top. If you want a new one. Zara have an amazing selection at the moment.See ways to wear them below

Bag and shoes are from River Island. .....

I just thought I'd show you another option for footwear with this outfit and these are my new coral converse which are soooooooo comfy. I'm in love....

NEW OUTFIT POST.....

So I always mix vintage with highstreet and most vintage items on my online shop are easily styled with highstreet pieces . The other day was a teeny bit chilly so I threw on my wooly gilet over this vintage shirt. Jeans are the highwaisted skinnies from Penneys retailing at €13

My floral shoes are from River Island. They retailed at €40 and they are fab teamed with little dresses and jeans alike. Its nice to make a statement with your shoes sometimes....

Necklace is from Accessorize and I think it has a real 70's feel . The shirt is a lovely custard cream colour from the 70's. I actually bought it in a charity shop for €4. TOP TIP: Sometimes the sleeves on vintage shirts can be a bit tooooooo baggy, so just to roll them up as shown below and above....

and rolled....

Fringed bag is from Penneys and it cost €8. They have them in tan colour too and they are such a bargain considering the detail.

Purple gilet is really light weight and  I bought at a fair in the RDS but I saw the exact same ones in A-Wear recently and cost just €15! Bargain or wha!
TOP TIP: wear your gilet over a floral dress to give it a boho feel.

Midi is the new Mini, find out why all the celebs think so?..........

I've always loved the midi and I love the way it's taking centre stage at the moment. It's such an easy effortless style to wear. I love wearing mine with ankle boots and a crop top. But see the many other ways below.........

It's also equally on trend to wear with some heels and cute ankle socks. Florence Welch is a big fan of the midi and she pulls it off so well.

Rihanna  is transformed into a demure super model by wearing this midi and crop top combo. A far cry from her usual styles!

I love the plisse pleat midi as seen below and is especially flattering when wore high waisted with a silk grandad style blouse or shirt. Pull in the waist even more by adding a belt but make sure it's a thin one. Another reason I think the midi works so well is because it  really shows off the slimmest parts of your legs.

Sienna looks so relaxed in her midi floral dress at Glastonbury this year. Add a pear of grunge studded boots to give that extra edge.  I love it

Things I want but can't because I can't have everything RIGHT????....

So I will regularly put up my wishlist. Just things that I see that I really want to buy but I have to stop myself and pretend  to myself that I don't actually have a credit card. As you will know, sometimes  my credit card just jumps out of my purse and into my hand and my fingers start typing my card number into the computer. It's just too bizarre!!

1. This is a bison skull ring. I don't know why I'm so obsessed with skull rings but I AM!! It's sold by Bohemian Rose Vintage and it's price tag is €20. Not bad for a statement piece. Bohemian Rose Vintage sell really individual new and vintage jewellery. Check them out.https://marketplace.asos.com/boutique/bohemianrose-vintage?oss_ss=1

2. These are just heaven and I've dreamed about them ever since I saw them on a girl on a tube in London. (I walked up and asked her where she got them) Paul Smith she said.... "Of course" I said! I'd pay through the teeth for them!Well I was even more disappointed to see they retailed at €395 . Then I checked today to see if they were still available and realised they had been put in the sale and dropped to €168.  Of course they are sold out in my size. I'm on the waiting list!!! These will go with everything from floral midi dresses to skinny jeans to just EVERYTHING!

3. This smock is just too cute and too perfect. I love the cut out detail, boho feel and relaxed comfy style. I'd throw on lots of long chains and a statement ring with this and I'd wear my hair loose and wavy. It's on Asos retailing at €49.99

4. These beauties below are the summer jett shoe from Modern Vice. They are an American brand and they do these shoes in every colour you can think of ,even yellow!. They are so fun and so different to anything else out there. They retail at 275 dollars. Very pricey but they are leather and you will have forever. (These are  things I regularly tell myself to convince myself into buying things) Check them out. Their lace up boots are to die for.

5. I just love blazers with character, why go with the norm? That's what I say. This with a pair of skinnies, a simple tee, statement necklace and a pair of coverse would be such an easy but wow look. It's on sale for €33 on a fab boutique on Asos Marketplace called House of Jam

I'm off to sob into my pillow.............................

How to make Kimonos Rock...........

I'm obsessed with kimonos at the moment. These are all available to buy on ASOS and ASOS MARKETPLACE. I'm giving my tips on how to wear them below. So MANY ways to wear them.......

TIP: Wear over disco pants with heals and a sparkly top to go dancing. Add some more sparkle with a glitter/sequence top underneath and unique headpiece jewellery.

TIP: Wear over denim shorts and throw on gladiator sandals if warm or leather ankle boots if we have the rain to deal with. I  just oooooooooooolove this western style kimono  :-)

TIP: Make the kimono even more boho by adding a hat. Feodora is my fav.
TIP: Wear your kimono over skinny jeans and a rock tee. Add some funky jewellery like a spiked necklace.(necklace below is in Next at the mo)

What I wear and the bargains I find......

I'm trying to wear as many dresses as I possibly can before this glorious weather leaves us :-) This was today's outfit.

I love adding a pop of  bright colour to more earthy colours and I especially love turquoise and brown together. They just compliment each other so well. I got this ring at a lovely market stall in Barcelona for a fiver!! But you don't have to go to lovely Barcelona to get this style of ring. I've seen them in lots of highstreet shops and boutiques.

Dress is a shirt waist dress(only buttons to the waist) and it's from the 70's and currently on sale on my online shop.

My fishy necklace is from the Topshop sales and you can always rely on them for quirky accessories . I mostly get my jewellery in Topshop during their sales and I have so many unique pieces, some I would of paid as little as 50 cent!.

My belt is actually from a dress I bought in Penneys and I have about 20 of them! I just throw them on with various dresses. Bag I featured before and is still up for grabs on my shop. The Antler skull rings are also for sale on my shop currently at €6 but I'm offering a reduced price  of €4.50 if you mention this blog post when purchasing. Nail varnish is high jelly shine from Barry M and I looooove it.

Flip flops were featured in my last outfit but I didn't show a close up. Again, they are from Penneys and cost just €3!
